Camp Dodge is located north of Johnston.  Traveling onI-35/80 take exit 129 (86th Street) north to NW 70th Ave and take a right (east)to 2002 NW 70th Ave. This is Boys State entrance to Camp Dodge.

Iowa American Legion is a GUEST of the Iowa National Guard atCamp Dodge and we are expected to take care of their facility, as a well-trainedand mannered guest would.

HOUSING: You will be housed in one of approximately 32barracks on the grounds of Camp Dodge. Each barracks (or in some cases twobarracks} is a city. The barracks you reside in and your city name will be givento you at registration. Bring a complete bedroll, including blankets, sheets,pillow and pillowslip. You may bring a sleeping bag if desired. NO BEDDING SAVAILABLE AT CAMP. TAG EVERYTHING WITH YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS. This will enableus to mail the Lost articles left behind at camp. Please have adequate clothingand supplies for ONE FULL WEEK. Important articles to bring with you are: 1small bag, underwear, pajamas, face towels, bath towels, shaving/toiletarticles, small mirror, shirts, sweater/jacket, jeans & shorts, raincoat,sports uniforms/clothing, shoes for all sports, suntan lotion, musicalinstruments and stands, camera & film, and handkerchiefs or tissues.

MEALS:accommodation in Faaborg Meals are provided at no cost to you. The mealcost is paid by your sponsoring American Legion Post as part of the EnrollmentFee, You will eat in a dining area assigned to your Boys State city. You willeat with your Boys State city and your city counselor will direct you to thecorrect dining hall.

A shirt and shoes are required in the dining areas andswimming trunks are not permitted. Admission to the dining area is by theofficial Boys State badge issued to you at your city when you arrive. Meals arenot available at camp for your friends or relatives. Breakfast, lunch and dinnerore served by schedule, beginning at the following times:

Breakfast 6:45 am.

Lunch 12:00 noon

Dinner 6:00 p.m.
