ASTRONOMY
Camp Oakes hosts a highly recognized astronomy conference annually that attracts over 1600 participants. Our observatory has fourteen and seventeen inch telescopes that provide our campers an unusual opportunity for stargazing.

HORSEMANSHIP
This activity is one of the highlights of Camp Oakes. All campers get to ride and be a cowboy or cowgirl!

MOUNTAIN BIKING
This is one of our most popular activities. Campers progress along a variety of trails chosen for their skill level and can ultimately experience an extended, guided wilderness trip.

SPORTS AND GAMES

TARGET SPORTS
This is a highly controlled activity that gives children the thrill of immediate success when hitting the mark, while instilling in them the safe and proper use of archery and riflery equipment.

WILDERNESS ADVENTURE
Camp Oakes is adjacent to the Pacific Crest Trail, which offers excellent backpacking. Exciting two-day trips give older campers ample exposure to the great outdoors.
